Final Report: Train Derailment near Scotland, SD - Twin Cities Division: Aberdeen Subdivision

On Tuesday, October 14th at approximately 05:15 a.m. CDT, we received a preliminary report of a train derailment near Scotland, SD which has affected the main track. Scotland, SD is approximately 76 miles southwest of Sioux Falls, SD. BNSF personnel responded and assessed the site. The main track was returned to service Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at 09:00 p.m. CDT.
