Initial Report: Train Derailment near Simmons,TX and Shiro,TX (Houston Subdivision)

On Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 11:53 P.M. CDT, we received a preliminary report of a train derailment near Simmons,TX and Shiro,TX which has affected the main track. Shiro,TX is approximately 25 miles North West of Montgomery,TX. BNSF field personnel are responding to assess the derailment site. The estimated time for opening the main track has not been determined at this time.
