Effective Monday, November 11, Intermodal freight shipments or units terminating in Atlanta, GA (CSXT Fairburn) may be Patron Notified while physically remaining on the railcar. These units may be picked up and out-gated by obtaining a "live lift" request which facilitates a trackside de-ramp directly from a crane onto a chassis.
Atlanta remains a Group 2 Facility. Therefore, all units, including those notified while on the railcar, will continue to receive 48 hours of Free Time following the Day-of-Notification. Patron Notified units that remain on a railcar will be identified where the Lot location shows AVLWS (Available via widespan crane). The Notify Party on the BNSF Bill of Lading will be responsible for coordinating the de-ramp of AVLWS units with the CSXT at Fairburn.
As per BNSF's Storage Policy, the event used to determine the Day-of-Notification will continue to be the Planned Out-gate (POG) date and time (where applicable) when it occurs after the Patron Notification. Otherwise, the event used to determine the Day-of-Notification will be either the Patron Notification (PN) or Estimated Time of Notification (ETN), whichever occurs at the later date and time.
